Precision manufacturing process of TP304L stainless steel seamless pipe

1. Raw material preparation

Use high-quality TP304L stainless steel plate or round steel as raw material to ensure that the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the finished steel pipe meet the standards and are compatible with the casing pipe material specifications.


2. Perforation

The ring furnace is heated to 1150-1250, and perforated by the perforator, perforation hot continuous rolling sizing, to achieve efficient plastic deformation and form a hollow tube billet.


3. Hot rolling

The perforated tube billet is sent to the hot rolling unit, and through multiple rolling passes, the tube billet is gradually lengthened and thinned to reach the required size and shape.


4. Cold rolling or cold drawing

For seamless pipes that require higher precision and surface quality, cold rolling or cold drawing is also required. The cold rolling/cold drawing process improves the dimensional accuracy to ±0.05m and the surface roughness Ra0.8μm, further refines the grains, and improves the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of the steel pipe.


5. Heat treatment

In order to eliminate processing stress and improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of steel pipes, the finished steel pipes need to be solution treated or stabilized.


6. Testing and inspection

The finished steel pipes are subjected to various tests such as water pressure test, eddy current flaw detection, and ultrasonic flaw detection to ensure that the product quality meets the relevant standards.
