1. ERW Steel Pipe Manufacturer & Supplier

ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) steel pipe is manufactured by continuously forming steel strip into a cylindrical shape and joining the edges through high-frequency electrical resistance welding. The process produces a uniform weld seam, consistent dimensional accuracy, and high production efficiency.

ERW pipes are widely used in oil and gas transportation, water transmission systems, structural construction, piling projects, mechanical engineering, and general industrial applications. Available in carbon steel and low-alloy steel grades, ERW pipe can be supplied according to ASTM, API, EN, and ISO standards with various coating and end-finish options.

3. Advantages of ERW Steel Pipe

ERW steel pipes offer a balanced combination of performance, cost efficiency, and production consistency, making them widely used in various industries.

3.1 Cost-effective

Compared with seamless pipes, ERW pipes are more economical due to a more efficient manufacturing process and lower material waste.

3.2 Good dimensional accuracy

ERW pipes are produced with tight tolerances, ensuring consistent outer diameter and wall thickness.

3.3 Suitable for high-volume projects

The continuous production process allows for large-scale manufacturing with stable quality.

4. Applications of ERW Steel Pipe

Oil and gas transportation – suitable for low to medium pressure pipeline systems
Water pipelines – used in municipal and industrial fluid transport
Structural applications – applied in construction, scaffolding, and mechanical structures

5. Quality Assurance and Testing

To ensure reliable performance and compliance with international standards, our ERW steel pipes undergo strict quality control throughout production.

- Raw Material Verification – Chemical composition and mechanical properties are checked before production.
Weld Seam Monitoring – Welding temperature and pressure are continuously controlled for stable seam integrity.
- Dimensional Inspection – OD, wall thickness, and ovality are measured to meet tolerance requirements.
NDT Testing – UT or ECT is used to detect weld and surface defects.
Hydrostatic Test – Pressure testing is available when required.
Full Traceability – Each batch is tracked from coil to finished pipe.

6. ERW Steel Pipe Manufacturing Process

ERW pipes are produced through a continuous forming and high-frequency welding process, ensuring stable dimensions and efficient mass production.

Main Production Steps:
1. Slitting and Feeding – Steel coils are slit to required width and fed into the line.
2. Cold Forming – Strip steel is gradually formed into a round tube.
3. HFI Welding – Edges are heated and pressure welded into a solid seam.
4. Scarfing – Internal and external weld beads are removed.
5. Sizing and Straightening – Final OD is calibrated and pipe is straightened.
6. Cutting and Packing – Pipes are cut to length, inspected, and packed.
