Pressure Rating of Boiler Tubes and Their Applications

Date:2024-09-20View:172Tags:boiler tubes, seamless steel tube

Pressure Rating Classification of Boiler Tubes

The pressure rating of boiler tube refers to the maximum working pressure that the pipe can withstand. According to international standards, the pressure rating of boiler tubes is usually categorized into three grades: low-pressure boiler tubes, medium-pressure boiler tubes and high-pressure boiler tubes.

1. Low-pressure boiler tubes: Low-pressure boiler tubes are suitable for boilers with a working pressure of not more than 2.5MPa (MPa). Common pressure ratings of low-pressure boiler tubes are: 0.8MPa, 1.0MPa, 1.25MPa and 1.6MPa.

2. Medium-pressure boiler tubes: Medium-pressure boiler tubes are suitable for boilers with working pressures between 2.5MPa and 9.8MPa. Common medium pressure boiler tube pressure levels are: 2.5MPa, 4.0MPa, 6.4MPa and 9.8MPa.

3. High-pressure boiler tubes: High-pressure boiler tubes are suitable for boilers with a working pressure of more than 9.8MPa. Common pressure ratings of high pressure boiler tubes are: 13.7MPa, 15.9MPa, 20.0MPa, 24.0MPa and 32.0MPa.

Application of Boiler Tubes of Different Pressures

1. Low-pressure boiler tube: Low-pressure boiler tube is suitable for some special occasions, such as hot water supply system in hospitals, schools, hotels and so on. The pressure level of low pressure boiler tube is lower, but it can meet the needs of these occasions.

2. Medium-pressure boiler tube: Medium-pressure boiler tube is suitable for boiler systems in general industrial and civil buildings, such as hot water boilers, steam boilers and so on. Medium pressure boiler tube has moderate pressure level and relatively low price, which can meet the general production and living needs.

3. High-pressure boiler tube: High-pressure boiler tube is widely used in chemical industry, electric power, petroleum and other industries, because the production process of these industries requires high-temperature and high-pressure steam, and high-pressure boiler tube can withstand such a high-temperature and high-pressure environment to ensure that the production process is carried out normally.

Summarize

The choice of pressure level of boiler tube should be determined according to the actual working pressure to ensure the safe and stable operation of the pipeline. When using boiler tubes, they need to be installed, used and maintained in strict accordance with the pressure rating requirements to ensure the safety and reliability of boiler tubes.
