Manual saw

Manual saw is a more traditional way to cut mild steel pipes. If the cutting accuracy is not high, you can choose a manual saw. The specific operation steps are as follows:

1. Fix the mild steel pipe to be sawed on the workbench with two clamps;

2. Use a standard hacksaw to saw the pipe. The saw blade should be of appropriate thickness and smooth;

3. After cutting, use a grinder to grind the cut mouth smooth.

 

Cut-off machine

Cut-off machine is an efficient way to cut mild steel pipes, which can accurately cut round and square pipes. The specific operation steps are as follows:

1. Feed the mild steel pipe into the cutting machine, and the cutting machine will automatically align the pipe with the cutting knife;

2. Start the cutting machine and start cutting the pipe;

3. After cutting, use a grinder to smooth the cut.

 

Welding and cutting machine

The welding and cutting machine is a multifunctional mild steel pipe cutting equipment that can cut round, square and other shaped pipes. The specific operation steps are as follows:

1. Use a clamp to fix the mild steel pipe on the workbench of the welding and cutting machine;

2. Start the equipment and select a suitable cutting plan;

Salt water electrochemical corrosion method

This method does not require any mechanical tools, and the specific steps are as follows:

1. Mark the location to be cut with electrical tape and stick it well.

2. Wrap a circle of tape around the marked location to protect the surface of the steel pipe from scratches.

3. Prepare a 12-volt power supply and connect the positive and negative clamps. The positive clamp is clamped on the steel pipe, and the negative clamp clamps one end of the wire.

4. Wipe the marked position with a wire dipped in salt water, and white foam will begin to emerge from the wire. This process will last for about ten minutes. During this period, the position and angle of the wire should be adjusted appropriately to ensure the cutting effect.

 

Flame cutting method

This cutting method has the lowest operating cost, but the fluid seamless pipe consumes more and the cutting quality is poor. It is usually used as an auxiliary cutting method, but some factories have adopted multi-head flame cutting machine automatic cutting as the main method.

 

Shearing method

This method has high production efficiency and low shearing cost. It is suitable for low-carbon seamless pipes and low-carbon alloy structural steel pipes. A large-tonnage shearing machine is used for double shearing to reduce the degree of flattening of the steel pipe end.

 

Breaking method

Use a breaking press to cut all the holes at the predetermined breaking liquid pipe through a cutting torch, then put it into the breaking press and break it with a triangular axe.
