Cold drawn steel tube is with hot-rolled steel coil as raw material, and tandem cold rolling pickled to remove oxide scale, its finished rolling hard roll, rolling hard volumes due to the continuous cold deformation caused by cold hardening strength, hardness increased indicators declined tough plastic, stamping performance will deteriorate, which can only be used for simple deformation of the parts.

If you want to obtain smaller size and better quality small diameter seamless steel pipes(smls pipe), cold rolling, cold drawing or a combination of the two methods must be used. Cold rolling is usually carried out on a two-roll mill. The steel pipe is rolled in an annular pass formed by a variable cross-section circular hole groove and a stationary tapered plug.

Cold Drawn Seamless Mechanical Tubing (CDS) is a cold drawn 1018/1026 steel tube which offers uniform tolerances, enhanced machinability and increased strength and tolerances compared to hot-rolled products.

Cold drawn seamless tube manufacturing process:

round tube → heating → perforation → Heading → annealing → pickling → oiled (copper) → multi-pass cold drawn (cold rolled) → blank tube → heat treatment → straightening →hydrostatic testing (testing) → mark → storage.

Application of cold drawn seamless pipe

Cold Drawn Seamless pipes & tubes are extensively used in Heat-Exchanger, Bearing & Automotive sectors.

Cold drawn precision seamless tube

Cold drawn precision seamless steel pipes are precision cold drawn seamless pipes used for mechanical structures and hydraulic equipment with high dimensional accuracy and good surface finish. The use of precision seamless pipes to manufacture mechanical structures or hydraulic equipment can greatly save mechanical processing man-hours, improve material utilization, and at the same time help improve product quality.
