In the past, boiler tubes and pressure vessel steel pipes were all seamless boiler tubes. With the maturity of welding technology, welded steel pipes for boilers have appeared in recent years. Their performance and quality can basically replace seamless steel pipes. There are three types of welded steel pipes for boilers.
1. Electric welded steel pipes for low and medium pressure boilers
This kind of steel pipe has certain strength, good plasticity, toughness, weldability and workability; it is suitable for making various structures of low-medium pressure and low-medium pressure boilers and pipelines for locomotive boilers.
2. Welded steel pipes for boilers and heat exchangers
This welded boiler tube is suitable for welded steel pipes for heat exchangers and medium and low pressure boilers, but not for stainless steel welded steel pipes. The outer diameter D of the steel pipe is not more than 305mm, the wall thickness S is not more than 8mm, and the usual length of the steel pipe is 2000～18000mm.
3. Austenitic stainless steel welded steel pipes for boilers and heat exchangers
Suitable for heat exchangers and medium and low pressure boiler tubes. The outer diameter D of the steel pipe is not more than 305mm, the wall thickness S is not more than 8mm, and the usual length of the steel pipe is 2000～18000mm.
