Precision seamless tube is a high-precision, high-finish tube. Compared with ordinary carbon steel pipe, it has higher precision and finish, and is widely used in various high-demand fields.
Precision seamless pipe is an important steel material, widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power, aviation, aerospace and other industrial fields. The rifling of precision seamless tube is the spiral line on the tube wall, which is used to increase strength and hardness, as well as improve air tightness and liquid tightness.
The rifling processing of seamless steel pipe requires cold processing of steel pipe first. First, the raw steel pipe needs to be pickled, finely ground and other treatments to remove surface oxide scale and other contaminants and improve surface quality. Then cold rolling, cold drawing and other forming processes are carried out. In this step, by controlling the processing temperature and cold deformation, the degree of the steel pipe gradually approaches the processing requirements.
After completing the cold processing step, the steel pipe needs to be heat treated. This is because during the cold working process, the steel undergoes cold deformation, resulting in a large amount of internal stress. Through heat treatment, these internal stresses can be eliminated, so that the steel pipe exhibits better mechanical properties and stability. Heat treatment methods include normalizing, annealing, quenching, etc.
After completing the heat treatment step, cold drawing is required. This step usually requires the use of a suitable profile machine to form rifling during the stretching process. Cold drawing mainly utilizes the plastic deformation of steel to stretch the steel pipe during deformation to obtain the required diameter and rifling shape.
After completing the cold drawing step, cold drawing is required. The purpose of cold drawing is to further elongate and deform the steel pipe during the stretching process, thereby improving the smoothness and precision of the rifling surface.
Finally, the complete rifling shape needs to be achieved through grinding machine processing. This step usually uses a grinding wheel or other abrasives for fine finishing.
Compared with other processing methods, seamless precision tube rifling processing has the following advantages:
1. Low processing cost and high production efficiency;
2. High processing accuracy, able to accurately control the length, depth and angle of the rifling;
3. The surface of the rifling after processing is smooth and burr-free;
4. No subsequent treatment is required and can be used directly.
In summary, the rifling of seamless precision tubes is completed through multiple processes. This involves multiple steps such as cold processing, heat treatment, cold drawing, cold drawing, and grinding. Through reasonable operation and control, high-quality steel pipes with precise shapes, clear rifling and accurate sizes can be manufactured. Although carbon steel pipes account for the majority of precision seamless pipes, unlike carbon steel pipes, they use high-quality raw materials and have more sophisticated manufacturing processes.
