How to increase the stability of the SSAW steel pipe?

SSAW steel pipe is a spiral seam steel pipe made of strip steel coil as raw material, extruded at room temperature, and welded by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding process. It is one of twenty key products developed for liquid transportation, water supply and drainage; natural gas transportation, coal gas, steam and liquefied petroleum gas; for structural use: pile pipes and pipes used as bridges, roads and building structures.

Knowledge of SSAW steel pipe

1. Raw materials are strip steel coils, welding wire, and flux. All products have undergone strict physical and chemical tests before being put into use.
2. The head-to-tail butt joint of strip steel adopts single-wire or double-wire submerged arc welding, and automatic submerged arc welding is used for repair welding after being rolled into steel pipes.
3. Before forming, the strip steel is leveled, edge trimmed, planed, surface cleaned, transported and pre-bent.
4. Electric contact pressure gauges are used to control the pressure of the cylinders on both sides of the conveyor to ensure the smooth conveying of the strip.
5. Adopt external control or internal control roll forming.

6. The weld gap control device is used to ensure that the weld gap meets the welding requirements, and the pipe diameter, misalignment and weld gap are strictly controlled.
7. Both internal and external welding adopt American Lincoln electric welding machine for single-wire or double-wire submerged arc welding, so as to obtain stable welding quality.
8. The welded seams are all inspected by an online continuous ultrasonic automatic flaw detector, which ensures 100% non-destructive testing coverage of spiral welds. If there is a defect, it will automatically alarm and spray the mark, and the production workers can adjust the process parameters at any time according to this to eliminate the defect in time.
9. Cut the steel pipe into single pieces with an air plasma cutting machine.
10. Each batch of steel pipes must undergo a strict first inspection system to check the mechanical properties of the weld, chemical composition, fusion status, steel pipe surface quality and non-destructive testing to ensure that the pipe making process is qualified before it can be formally put into production.

11. The part marked by continuous ultrasonic flaw detection on the weld has been re-examined by manual ultrasonic and X-ray. If there is a defect, it will be repaired and then go through non-destructive inspection again until it is confirmed that the defect has been eliminated.
12. The pipes where the strip steel butt welds and the D-joints intersected with the spiral welds are all inspected by X-ray TV or film.
13. Each steel pipe has passed the hydrostatic pressure test, and the pressure is radially sealed. The test pressure and time are strictly controlled by the steel pipe water pressure microcomputer detection device. The test parameters are automatically printed and recorded.
14. The pipe end is mechanically processed, so that the verticality of the end face, the bevel angle and the blunt edge can be accurately controlled.

The main technical characteristics of SSAW steel pipe

1. During the forming process, the steel plate has uniform deformation, small residual stress, and no scratches on the surface; the processed SSAW steel pipe has greater flexibility in the range of diameter and wall thickness, especially when producing better steel pipes , is producing thick-walled pipes with small and medium diameters; it has advantages that other processes cannot match, and can meet users who have higher requirements for SSAW steel pipe specifications.

2. Using advanced double-sided submerged arc welding technology, it can achieve good welding position, and it is not easy to have defects such as edge error, welding deflection, incomplete penetration depth, etc., and it is easy to control the welding quality.

4. All equipment in the entire production line has the function of networking with the computer data acquisition system to realize real-time data transmission; the technical parameters in the production process are controlled by the central control room; strict physical and chemical tests must be carried out before investment, and the head and tail of the strip steel Single-wire or double-wire submerged arc welding should be used for the butt joint; after the steel pipe is rolled, it will be repaired by automatic submerged arc welding.

5. How to increase the stability of the SSAW steel pipe?

1) Small and medium-sized steel bars, wire rods, steel bars, medium-diameter steel pipes, steel wires and wire ropes can be stored in well-ventilated sheds, but some small steel, thin steel, steel strips, silicon steel plates, small-diameter or thin wall steel pipe. Stock a wide range of cold rolled and drawn steel, as well as high value and corrosive metal products.

2) The storage place or warehouse of SSAW steel pipe products should be placed in a clean and unobstructed place; away from factories and mines that produce harmful gases or dust, remove weeds and all sundries in the field, and keep the steel clean; large cross-section steel, Steel rails, steel plates, large-diameter steel pipes, forgings, etc. can be stacked in the open air; do not stack acid, alkali, salt, cement and other corrosive materials in the warehouse; different types of steel should be stacked separately to prevent confusion and contact corrosion.

3) Generally, ordinary closed warehouses are used, that is, warehouses with roofs, fences, doors, windows and ventilation devices; warehouses need to be ventilated in sunny days and closed in rainy days to prevent moisture and maintain a suitable storage environment at all times.
