The waterproof casing pipe is a protective casing pipe installed on the outside of the pipe to prevent it from being squeezed by external forces. Its main function is to protect it. In order to protect and extend the service life of the waterproof casing pipe, the waterproof casing pipe is often painted. So how should the waterproof casing pipe be painted? The following will be a simple analysis.
Analysis of waterproof casing pipe
structure
The waterproof casing pipe includes two
sealing structures.
The first sealing part is on the inner
periphery where the wires of the connecting contacts pass through the through
hole and the wires are closely connected.
The second sealing part is on the outer
periphery that is in close contact with the connector housing. The first part
of the first sealing part is made of an elastic material with a lower hardness
than the second part of the second sealing part.
How should waterproof casing pipes be
painted
1. Check the waterproof casing pipe. Before
painting the waterproof casing pipe, check whether the specifications and
materials of all waterproof casing pipes in the room are standardized and
qualified, and whether their ovality and casing pipe wall thickness meet the
relevant material regulations. If the waterproof casing pipe has defects and
the specifications and materials do not meet the requirements, it cannot be
used and cannot be painted.
2. Sandblasting for rust removal. Before
formal painting, the waterproof casing pipe should be sandblasted for rust
removal, that is, stains such as paint and oxides on the surface of the
waterproof casing pipe should be removed with a rust remover to ensure the
bright and clean surface of the waterproof casing pipe, so as to avoid defects
such as bulges and peeling of the painted paint, and ensure the effect of
painting the waterproof casing pipe. During the sandblasting for rust removal,
it must be approved by the QC department and the owner, and records should be
kept.
3. Primer. Before brushing latex paint on
the waterproof casing pipe, primer should be applied first. After fully mixing
and stirring the primer, use a cotton yarn head to remove dust, stains,
moisture, etc. on the surface of the pipe, and then brush the prepared primer
on the waterproof casing pipe. It should be noted that the waterproof casing
pipe that has just been rusted should be painted in time. The primer should be
applied at least twice. If the first primer is not completely dry, the second
primer cannot be applied. When applying the primer, it must be applied evenly
without leaking spots, so as to ensure that the latex paint can be applied
evenly.
4. Do not paint both ends of the pipe.
Waterproof casing pipes of the same type, specification, material, etc. should
be placed together as much as possible during rust removal. After rust removal,
the waterproof casing pipe should be marked and then painted. It should be
noted that the areas above 50mm at both ends of the casing pipe do not need to
be painted. It is best to transplant and mark each casing pipe after the
painting is completed.
5. The anti-corrosion painting of the
waterproof casing pipe should be carried out in accordance with the drawings
and construction requirements of the waterproof casing pipe. After the rust
removal and painting process of the waterproof casing pipe is completed, both
ends of the waterproof casing pipe should be sealed. During its storage and
transportation, protective measures should be taken to avoid damaging the
surface coating of the waterproof casing pipe.
Summary
In many waterproof projects and pipeline
installations nowadays, waterproof casing pipes are used to protect pipe
products and extend their service life. Therefore, when general waterproof
casing pipes are used and installed, they are painted to increase the corrosion
and moisture resistance of the waterproof casing pipes. So, how to paint the
waterproof casing pipes is a topic we need to pay attention to.
