What is the difference in appearance between seamless and welded pipes?

1. The appearance is different

Seamless Steel Tube: A steel tube that is made from a single piece of metal and has no seams on its surface.
Welded pipe: It is a steel pipe welded by steel plate or strip steel by crimping. The general length is 6 meters, and there are welds on the surface.

2. Different categories

Welded pipe: divided into ordinary welded pipe, galvanized welded pipe, oxygen-blown welded pipe, wire casing, metric welded pipe, rolled pipe, deep well pump pipe, automobile pipe, transformer pipe, electric welded thin-walled pipe, electric welded special shaped pipe, scaffold pipe and spiral welded pipe .
Seamless steel pipes: According to different production methods, they are divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold-drawn pipes, extruded pipes, pipe jacking, etc., all of which have their own process regulations.

3. The production process is different

Seamless steel pipes are formed in one step during the rolling process. Welded steel pipe requires rolling and welding, usually spiral and direct welding. Seamless pipe performance is better, of course, the price is higher.

4. Different pressure bearing capacity

The pressurd pipe: products are widely used in water supply engineering, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, urban construction (water supply, drainage). For gas delivery: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. For piling pipes and bridges; pipes for piers, roads and building structures.

Seamless steel pipe: Seamless steel pipe is widely used. Universal seamless steel pipe is rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel, and has the largest output. They are mainly used as pipes or structural parts for conveying fluids.
