What are the production equipment for LSAW steel pipe?

Submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipe (LSAW pipe) is a kind of steel pipe with large consumption and high reliability for oil and natural gas pipelines. Forming unit types include UOE, RBE, JCOE, etc.

JCOE molding unit equipment

1. Process equipment before molding
(1) Plate end rust remover. When the steel plate is transported forward, spray rust remover on both sides of the steel plate to remove rust or oil stains on the upper and lower sides of the steel plate about 100mm from both ends.
(2) Steel plate chamfering machine. Install an oxygen acetylene cutting nozzle to automatically chamfer the edge of the cutting board along the track. There is a chamfering machine on each side of the steel plate placed on the workbench.
(3) Plate edge pre-bending forming machine. The upper and lower rollers are used to bend steel plates. The rollers are divided into front and rear sections, and the distance between the two axes is fixed. Adjust the up, down, left and right sides of the drum to get the appropriate curvature.

2. JCOE molding machine

(1) The JCOE molding machine consists of 4 hydraulic beds, each hydraulic bed consists of a 620mm main hydraulic cylinder, and the distance between each hydraulic cylinder is 3.2mm. Hydraulic cylinders can be operated independently or simultaneously.
(2) The JCOE forming machine is equipped with upper and lower molds of various shapes and can produce steel pipes, angle steel, cold stamping parts, etc.

3. Main equipment for post-forming process

(1) The steel pipe handling trolley consists of 2 levels. The steel pipe is placed on the load-bearing platform. The two load-bearing platforms are pulled up by the conveyor chain and moved synchronously, and sent to the pre-welding machine. The rotating opening is aligned with the pre-welded steel pipe so that it can be continuously connected and fed.
(2) Continuous pre-welding machine. Use a roller to rotate the steel pipe so that the notch faces upward, then tie the opening of the steel pipe into a straight line, and then use a second welder to pre-weld the weld bead to close the opening.
(3) Carry 2 trolleys. One is used for continuous pre-welding and is sent to the internal and external welding areas of the steel pipe; the other is used for rounding and is sent to the steel pipe for chamfering and flattening.


(4) Steel pipe inner surface welding equipment. After the steel pipe is hoisted into the welding machine for positioning, a straight rod with a guide wheel at the front end is placed at the weld to guide the welding and maintain a straight line. The front end of the straight rod is equipped with a welding rod pressure feeder, which presses the welding wire and flux transport box so that the flux falls by its own weight, and then the straight rod is slowly transported by a trolley to retreat according to the welding speed.

(5) Steel pipe external welding equipment. After the steel pipe is hoisted into the welding machine for positioning, the vehicle-mounted welding machine wire feeder and welding machine transport tray are used. And let the flux fall by its own weight to protect the welding joint, and the trolley moves slowly according to the welding speed.
(6) Sizing, rounding, straightening, and expanding machines. The rolling force generated by the power transmission of the upper and lower rollers in the full circle is forced to compress the steel pipe through the rounding machine, causing the steel pipe to be permanently deformed below the yield point. During straightening, the steel pipe passes through the center of the upper and lower rollers as the fulcrum, about 2m away from the center, and the front oil cylinder is used to wind the steel pipe to the required straightness.
After the steel pipe is formed, in order to achieve the required size and roundness, the wedge method is used to expand the diameter from the inside of the pipe to the outside to achieve a certain protection rate.
When equipped with sizing machines, rounding machines and straightening machines, the first three types of equipment can be omitted.


(7)Steel pipe trimming machine. Among them, the gas cutting trimming machine uses the expansion clamps of the two trimming machines at the front and rear to resist the inner diameter of the steel pipe and then rotate the main shaft, and the steel pipe also rotates. At this time, guide the gas cutting knife against the outer diameter of the steel pipe to keep a certain distance between the gas cutting burner and the outer diameter of the steel pipe to prevent the cutting edge from being cut. Incorrect due to distance difference. After the gas chamfering and cutting work is completed, the feed wheel is used to make the turning tool longitudinally perform end face dressing work, and the dressing work at both ends can be carried out at the same time. The mechanical trimming machine uses a clamp to clamp and position the steel pipe, and the spindle chuck rotates for turning.

(8) Ultrasonic flaw detection equipment. Ultrasonic inspection of the weld bead is required before and after hydrostatic testing.
(9) Hydraulic testing machine. It consists of a main hydraulic cylinder and a traveling hydraulic cylinder, with a maximum load of 1200t and a maximum pressure of 25MPa. There are two test heads fixed at both ends of the steel pipe: one test head is fixed and the other is adjustable. The test head can be replaced according to different pipe diameters.


(10) The inner surface of the steel pipe is dried, rust-removed and anti-rust coated. After the hydrostatic test, the steel pipe cannot work immediately due to the humid temperature, that is, the inner and outer coatings must be dried and rust removed. The unit uses manual shot blasting to remove rust. In order to prevent the inner surface of the steel pipe from rusting during transportation and use, the inner surface of the steel pipe must be coated.

(11) Rust removal treatment on the outer surface of the steel pipe. When the steel pipe rotates and advances on the conveyor table, the shot blasting machine throws away the rust on the outer surface of the steel pipe. Thereafter, the steel pipe is coated with an anti-rust coating.
