Regarding the calculation method of how many kilograms of pressure the steel pipe bears, you can use the pressure wall thickness comparison table to compare the pressure bearing capacity of the steel pipe. However, when it comes to a certain stainless steel precision tube, what is the pressure-bearing capacity of the tube? This is a bit tricky. Because querying through the comparison table is only the most conservative method, and the data is not completely correct. Although these data are also obtained through a large number of scientific experiments, they are just general data and not absolutely accurate.

 

In addition, the pressure-bearing problem of precision pipes is also affected by problems such as working environment temperature, internal fluids and production processes. However, if the wall thickness, outer diameter and tensile strength of the precision tube are measured and calculated, the pressure level of the precision tube can be calculated by the calculation formula.

 

The calculation formula of stainless steel precision pipe pressure is:

Pressure = 2 * wall thickness * (tensile strength * 40%)/OD

 

It is known that the tensile strength of 304 stainless steel pipe is 520 MPa, and the tensile strength of 316 stainless steel pipe is 485 MPa. Then, we calculated a 304 stainless steel pipe with an outer diameter of 200 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm, and the pressure = 2 * 3 * (520 * 40%) / 200 = 6.24MPa. Through calculation, it can be concluded that the pressure bearing value of the 304 precision tube is 6.24Mpa. The larger the outer diameter of the steel pipe, the smaller the pressure value it can withstand. For example, in the case of the same wall thickness, the larger the outer diameter, the smaller the pressure value it can withstand.
