Thick-walled stainless steel seamless pipes for petrochemical industry

Thick-walled stainless steel pipe is a stainless steel pipe with a relatively large wall thickness, which is usually used for transportation or processing under harsh working conditions such as high pressure, high temperature or corrosive media. Under normal circumstances, stainless steel pipes with a wall thickness of more than 3mm can be considered thick-walled stainless steel pipes.

Due to its high corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and strength, thick-walled stainless steel pipes are widely used in petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, electric power, shipbuilding and other industries, such as transporting high-temperature and high-pressure water vapor, chemicals, Hydrocarbons and other media, as well as processing and manufacturing high-temperature reactors, pipelines, storage tanks and other equipment. In addition, thick-walled stainless steel pipes are often used in high-demand situations such as nuclear power plants, oil and gas drilling and production.

The requirements for thick-walled stainless steel pipes in the petrochemical industry are as follows:

1. Corrosion resistance: Since the chemicals and media in the petrochemical industry are highly corrosive, stainless steel pipes are required to have excellent corrosion resistance and be able to be used in harsh environments for a long time without corrosion and damage.

2. High temperature and high pressure performance: In the petrochemical industry, stainless steel pipes need to withstand the transportation and processing of high temperature and high pressure media, so they need to have high temperature resistance and high pressure resistance, as well as good mechanical properties and strength.

3. Dimensional accuracy and surface quality: In the petrochemical industry, stainless steel pipes have very high requirements for dimensional accuracy and surface quality to ensure the tightness of pipeline connections and the stability of medium transportation.

4. Safety performance: The petrochemical industry is a high-risk industry, so the safety performance requirements of stainless steel pipes are also very high, including the pressure-bearing performance, earthquake resistance, explosion-proof performance, etc. of the pipeline.

5. Environmental protection: In the petrochemical industry, concerns about environmental protection issues are increasing day by day, so stainless steel pipe materials are required to comply with environmental standards and not cause pollution to the environment.

Specific applications of thick-walled stainless steel pipes in the petrochemical industry:

1. Chemical reactors and heat exchangers: The high strength and high corrosion resistance of thick-walled stainless steel tubes make them the preferred material for chemical reactors and heat exchangers. They are able to withstand high temperatures, pressures and corrosive media while providing excellent mechanical properties and thermal conductivity.

2. Transporting high-temperature and high-pressure media: Thick-walled stainless steel pipes are usually used to transport high-temperature and high-pressure media in the petrochemical industry, such as steam, hot water, oil and natural gas. These media need to be transported in extreme working environments, so pipes with high strength and corrosion resistance are required.

3. Oil and natural gas detection: In oil and natural gas detection, thick-walled stainless steel pipes are widely used in drilling platforms and oil well equipment. They are able to withstand high temperatures, pressures and corrosive media while providing excellent mechanical properties and durability.

4. Chemical storage tanks: Thick-walled stainless steel pipes can also be used to manufacture chemical storage tanks, such as chemical storage tanks, fuel storage tanks, and solvent storage tanks. These tanks need to be able to withstand the corrosive nature of chemicals and high temperature and pressure conditions to ensure safety and stability.
