Classification of seamless precision tube

Precision Tube

Compared with solid steel such as round steel, seamless  pipes are lightweight. It is an economical steel widely used in the manufacture of structural parts and mechanical parts. While inheriting the advantages of seamless steel pipes, precision seamless tubes also have their own characteristics. Precision manufacturing of rings can improve material utilization, simplify manufacturing processes, and save materials and processing time, such as rolling bearing rings, jack sets, etc., which have been widely used in precision seamless pipes. The application of precision seamless pipes in energy conservation improves processing efficiency and is of great significance in reducing processing process or equipment investment. It can save costs and processing time, improve production capacity and material utilization, improve product quality, and reduce costs. , improving economic efficiency is of great significance. Generally speaking, precision seamless pipes are generally used in high-precision industries. For those without precision requirements, seamless pipes are basically used. For the same specifications, the price of precision seamless pipes is higher than that of seamless pipes.

Precision tube structure

Precision pipe is a kind of pipe with smooth inner and outer walls, uniform wall thickness, precise inner and outer diameters, high pressure resistance, high precision, and corrosion resistance. Its structure is mainly divided into two types: seamless precision steel pipe and precision welded pipe. Seamless precision steel pipes are made through cold drawing (cold drawing) process. The inner and outer surfaces are smooth, the wall thickness is generally less than 5mm, the inner diameter is generally less than 500mm, and the accuracy is as high as a few ten thousandths; welded precision steel pipes are made through welding process , has good toughness and workability. Due to the advantages of precision seamless steel pipes, which have no oxide layer on the inner and outer walls, can withstand high pressure without leakage, have high precision, high smoothness, no deformation in cold bending, no cracks in flaring and flattening, they are mainly used to produce pneumatic or hydraulic components, such as Cylinders or oil cylinders are all made of seamless pipes. The chemical composition of precision seamless steel pipes is carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), sulfur(S), phosphorus (P), and chromium (Cr).

Classification of precision tube

Precision tubes can be divided into many types according to their uses. The following are three commonly used classification methods.

1. Classified by use: including precision tubes for machinery, precision tubes for automobiles, precision tubes for hydraulics, precision tubes for aerospace, precision tubes for chemical industry, etc.

2. Classified by processing technology: including cold drawn precision tubes, cold rolled precision tubes, hot rolled precision tubes, cold heading precision tubes, cold extruded precision tubes, etc.

3. Classified by material: including stainless steel precision tubes, alloy precision tubes, titanium alloy precision tubes, steel precision tubes, etc.
