1. Different appearance

Seamless steel pipe: A steel pipe made from a single piece of metal with no seams on the surface.

Welded pipe: It is a steel pipe made of steel plate or strip steel after crimping and welding. Generally, the length is 6 meters and there are welded seams on the surface.

2. Different classification

Welded pipes: divided into general welded pipes, galvanized welded pipes, oxygen-blowing welded pipes, wire casings, metric welded pipes, roller pipes, deep well pump pipes, automotive pipes, transformer pipes, electric welded thin-walled pipes, electric welded special-shaped pipes, scaffolding pipes and spirals Welded pipe.

Seamless steel pipes: According to different production methods, they are divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold-drawn pipes, extruded pipes, pipe jacking, etc., all have their own process regulations.

3. Different production processes
Seamless steel pipes are formed in one step during rolling. Welded steel pipes need to be rolled and welded, usually spiral welding and direct welding. The seamless pipe has better performance and of course the price is higher.

4. Different pressure-bearing capacity

The pressure-bearing capacity of seamless pipes is higher, and welded pipes are generally around 10 MPa. Now welded pipes are seamlessly treated.

5. The scope of application is different

Welded pipe: Products are widely used in water supply engineering, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, urban construction (water supply, drainage). Used for gas transportation: coal gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. Used for piling pipes and bridges; pipes for docks, roads, and building structures.

Seamless steel pipe: Seamless steel pipe has a wide range of uses. General-purpose seamless steel pipes are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel, and have the largest output. They are mainly used as pipelines or structural parts for conveying fluids.
